The problem this addon solves
without a mesh line system you place many rotated sprites to fake a curve. That costs objects, shows seams at joins, and every visual tweak means touching every segment. Line Renderer keeps one object per line and rebuilds the host's mesh from a control point list, so the whole stroke is a single textured strip.
Scenarios Where This Addon Excels
- Ropes and cables between moving objects: Connect two objects, or a whole picked list, and the line follows them every tick.
- Lasers and energy beams: A Tiled Background with a glow image, a scrolling texture and a little wave makes an animated beam with no seams.
- Rivers, roads and conveyor belts: Tile a texture along a curved path at a fixed pixel density and scroll it to show flow.
- Node-graph and UI connectors: Draw clean bezier links between draggable panels using the same object type for every link.
- Lightning and magic arcs: Smooth a jagged path and animate the wave for a living, crackling effect.
- 3D wires and tapes: Points carry a Z offset and the ribbon can face the camera or twist as a flat tape in 3D layouts.
- Anything a Sprite can do, on a line: Because the host is a normal object, animations, effects, families, containers and collisions all keep working.
