A list of all Actions, Conditions and Expressions supported in this addon.

Appearance

  • Actions

    Set {my} facing to {0} with ({1}, {2}, {3})

    Set how the line width is oriented in 3D. Flat stays in the layout plane. Billboard faces the camera: X, Y, Z give a camera position, or all 0 to use the 3D Camera object. Up vector follows the up direction given by X, Y, Z.

    Set {my} line style to end caps {0}, joins {1}, cross-section points {2}

    Set the shape of the line ends, how corners are drawn, and the number of points around the line (2 = flat ribbon, 3 or more = 3D tube).

Co-ordinates

  • Actions

    Set {my} auto-fit to line {0}

    Enable or disable sizing the object to the unrolled line (texture length by thickness) after each update (absolute co-ordinate space only).

    Set {my} co-ordinate space to {0}

    Set whether points are in layout co-ordinates (absolute) or relative to the object (relative).

Wave

  • Actions

    Set {my} wave to magnitude {0}, wavelength {1}, period {2}, {3}, {4}

    Set the wave that ripples the line: how far points move, the length of one wave, seconds per cycle, the direction points are pushed, and the wave shape.

    Set {my} wave magnitude to {0}

    Set how far the wave pushes points, in pixels. 0 turns the wave off; animate it to fade a wave in or out.

Objects

  • Actions

    Pin {my} points to {0} instances ({1})

    Replace all points with one per picked instance of an object (in picking order) and, when pinned, keep each point following its instance every tick.

    Pin {my} point {0} to {1} image point {2} on face {3} ({4})

    Move a point to an image point of the first picked instance (with its Z elevation) and, when pinned, keep following it every tick. Setting a point past the end adds points up to it.

    Set {my} point {0} to {2} node {3} of {1}

    Move a point to the position of a mesh or bone node of the first picked 3D model instance, including its Z elevation.

    Unpin {my} point {0}

    Stop a point following its pinned instance (the point keeps its position). Use -1 to unpin all points.

Lines & paths

  • Actions

    Set {my} arc at ({0}, {1}) radius {2} from {3} to {4} degrees with {5} segments

    Replace all points with an arc around a position.

    Set {my} bezier curve from ({0}, {1}) via ({2}, {3}) and ({4}, {5}) to ({6}, {7}) with {8} segments

    Replace all points with a cubic bezier curve.

    Set {my} line from ({0}, {1}, {2}) to ({3}, {4}, {5})

    Replace all points with a straight line between two positions.

    Smooth {my} line with {0} subdivisions

    Replace the points with a smooth curve passing through them.

Performance

  • Actions

    Set {my} maximum drawn points {0}, wave resolution {1}, off-screen culling {2}

    Limit how many points are used to draw the line (0 = all), set how many mesh steps each segment is split into for the wave, and whether updates are skipped while the line is off-screen.

Points

  • Actions

    Set {my} size of all points to ({0}, {1})

    Set the width (texture width per segment: 0 = automatic, a value fixes it) and height (line thickness) of every point. Use -1 to keep a value.

    Set {my} point {0} position to ({1}, {2}, {3})

    Set the position and Z elevation of a point. Setting a point past the end adds points up to it.

    Set {my} point {0} size to ({1}, {2})

    Set a point's width (texture width of the segment starting at it: 0 = automatic, a value fixes it so the image stretches with the segment) and height (line thickness). Use -1 to keep a value.

Points

  • Actions

    Add {my} point at ({0}, {1}, {2}) with height {3}

    Add a point to the end of the line.

    Insert {my} point {0} at ({1}, {2}, {3}) with height {4}

    Insert a point at an index, moving later points up by one.

    Remove {my} point {0}

    Remove the point at an index. A line always keeps at least two points.

    Set {my} {0}

    Enable or disable the line. While disabled the object is drawn normally.

    Set {my} point count to {0}

    Set the number of points in the line, adding points at the end or removing points from the end.

Line

  • Conditions

    On {my} line updated

    Triggered after the line's mesh has been updated.

    On {my} point count changed

    Triggered when a point is added or removed.

Line

  • Conditions

    {my} point count {0} {1}

    Compare the number of points in the line.

    {my} co-ordinate space is {0}

    True if the line uses the given co-ordinate space.

    {my} is enabled

    True if the line is currently enabled.

    {my} point {0} is pinned

    True if the point is following a pinned instance.

    {my} wave is active

    True if the wave magnitude is greater than 0.

Line

  • Expressions

    LineLength

    The length of the line, in pixels.

    PointCount

    The number of points in the line.

    PointHeight

    The line thickness at a point, in pixels.

    PointWidth

    The texture width of the segment starting at a point, in pixels: its fixed width if set, otherwise its current length.

    PointX

    The layout X co-ordinate of a point.

    PointY

    The layout Y co-ordinate of a point.

    PointZ

    The layout Z elevation of a point.
