In the past people used magic. But when someone found a crystal that has huge amounts of energy inside magic started to fade away with tech coming. but when years past YOU the player still uses magic from your family, but far away there was a planet that holds armies and a king slime. sending a slime to get the crystal and use it to destroy everything in their path. and you are the only person who can stop them.
