This game was made for Unit 302: Make a game for the Games Development course, finished around January 2024. I chose this game because the theming is fun, and to act as a bridge between the style and gameplay of the original game on the NES, which was a 2D platformer, and the newer game on the 3DS, a third person shooter which has hybrid gameplay of traversing on the ground and flying in the sky.
There are some elements of the game which I think could be improved, namely the level design, but I am proud of the final result. It was fun designing the character and enemies, and tilesets. I especially like the animation I have done for Pit, (the angel character) such as the idle and how a rainbow of colour swirls around his arm constantly, and how it moves as the character aims, as well as the bullets being randomly rainbow coloured.
Aside from the game's logo, the sky background texture and the burger PNGs, all assets are made by me. The menu music is Solo Menu from Kid Icarus Uprising, and the level music is Skyworld from Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary.
