  • 'Set scale' for a layer should work OK. Don't forget to center the view on something.

Note browsers decide for themselves whether they use linear (blurry) scaling or point (pixellated) scaling. You might have to just draw the graphics bigger I'm afraid... Firefox and IE seem to use linear scaling.

  • WebGL means 3D graphics in the browser! It can do shaders, effects, everything like that. Construct 2 will stay 2D but can take advantage of those things.

  • Try Construct 3

  • We're not away yet :)

There haven't been many significant changes to the editor since physics. So I'm not sure what this could be - if other people report the same issue I'll be worried, but it might be a problem with your computer. Does it do it with all projects, even new blank ones? Can you reproduce a series of steps to get it to crash in the same place every time? Have you tried reinstalling C2?

  • Usually software like Construct 2 can't cause a blue screen of death - it usually means something system-level like drivers have failed. So I'm afraid it sounds like a problem with your laptop :(

I was going to suggest updating your drivers - but maybe you got the wrong one? That could cause more issues.

  • Have you tried enabling snap to grid? Aligning your hotspots top-left might help too.

  • I have done the following and couldn't reproduce any problem in r59:

    • opened an existing .capx
    • added an animation frame to a sprite
    • saved as project folder (and a second time around saved to a .capx)

It worked fine both ways. I haven't yet checked out the more detailed instructions in your PM and will do soon. I did warn about possible issues in the r59 changelog so do keep backups! I'll try and get this properly sorted with a new release out before the end of the week.

  • This is by design. Transcoding .ogg to .m4a degrades the quality, so it's intended that you import the other .m4a file next to it as well. (You can pick multiple files in the file chooser dialog.)

  • Don't use dt for that, just store the 'time' expression in each event, then subtract them to get the seconds difference.

  • brockatkinson: not sure. Probably several months.

  • Thanks for the .capx files- I see now! It looks like a tricky one - the object has the same name so it tries to paste it as a new instance of the same object, but it has different behaviors which causes the error. I'll try and get it fixed some time but the workaround is simple, like you say just make sure the objects have a different name.

  • I just whipped up a quick test and 'on right button clicked on object' works just fine here. Maybe you could post your .capx? You might have done something different.

  • Doesn't look at all blurry for me in Firefox 7. I'm a little confused by your picture. The editor is zoomed in but the comparison to the sprite at runtime is the same size - it should be smaller if displayed at 100% scale. Are you doing some scaling at runtime...?
