  • 1) appMobi should always run in fullscreen, do you mean removing the status bar? If so the 'hide status bar' action in the appMobi object should do the job.

    2) Re: tabs - this has been requested a few times, but is difficult to change because of the UI library we use. I'll try look in to it soon.

    3) Re: 'Free form tiled backgrounds': can't you usually fake these effects with a cleverly designed rectangle texture? The reason the tiled background is rectangle only is because the underlying graphics hardware is very very fast at rendering that - other shapes would be a lot slower to render, so it's best to use rectangles in the Tiled Background object.

    4) For issues with CocoonJS, it is best to contact Ludei. Only they can fix problems in the CocoonJS launcher.

Hope that helps - sorry for the delay.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I can see in the code where the error happens, but it doesn't make sense. It empties the entire temporary folder recursively (so its entire contents is removed), then removing the actual folder itself fails with a "folder is not empty" error. So... not sure what to do about it - a repro would help me investigate.

  • I strongly recommend you do not use older releases, because often we have fixed serious bugs such as project corruption! This sounds like it might be a Firefox bug rather than a problem with Construct 2 - I really think you should use r95 or r101 to make sure you don't run in to problems we've already fixed. Anyway, if you use Chrome, does the problem go away? That would prove it's a Firefox problem and not C2's fault.

  • I think most browsers prevent you forcibly setting the browser window size, if that's what you mean. Why not just use fullscreen letterbox mode and scale everything up to full size?

  • Thanks for the report, found a workaround for Firefox and should run at 60 FPS in the next build. But I still don't advise you do things like this every tick!

  • You should not add the 'Solid' behavior to objects with the 'Platform' behavior. They are not designed to work together and this probably causes the problem. If you remove the solid behavior from the platform objects, it seems to work OK.

  • Please see how to report bugs:

    • it is best to reproduce the problem in a minimal project
    • your .capx uses the following third party plugins: Branch, CSV, Function, Inst Group, SwitchCase and MoveTo. Unfortunately we cannot accept bug reports using third party plugins, since we need to rule out third party plugins causing the problem.
  • Not a bug: you have 'auto font size' set to 'Yes', which will override the font size.

  • Please see how to report bugs. Can you share your .capx and a link to the game running online?

It is a very strange error, so I have no idea why it would come up.

  • I've tried it and it works fine here. It's a very simple event which just listens to when the browser says it's offline. Are you sure you're not falling back to some other connection so you're still online?

  • That's odd, it has trouble deleting some temporary files on exit. I cannot reproduce this problem myself, is there any sequence of steps to make this happen every time?

  • There was a bug using fullscreen modes in the Chrome Web Store - should be fixed in the next build.

  • I'm afraid there's very little we can do without a reliable reproduction of the problem...

  • Moved to Construct 2 general.

Construct 2 does not generate any usable source code. It exports the entire Construct 2 runtime engine, plus a big block of JSON data representing the game. You cannot do anything useful with this after exporting. However, if you're interested in using code with Construct 2, try looking in to the Javascript SDK.
