  I don't think anybody on this forum recommends using CC. Even the long-time users admit it's a bit of a wreck, and C2 is a better bet for new users. Officially we've also retired it and strongly recommend no new users start using it; we are leaving it there only for users who have long-term projects that they want to finish in CC.

  I think the main reason is just inertia. CC was first released in 2007, and over a period of several years gained fairly widespread recognition. C2 has been around about 2 years, but up until a year ago (or less) it was still missing significant features that CC had. I think we've pretty well caught up by now, but those who were familiar with CC aren't yet properly aware of the progress C2 has made, so still discuss CC. I really wish they wouldn't - C2 is better in almost every way, and I worry that anyone new taking up CC will be disillusioned by a much poorer quality product than we now offer with C2.

  'Every X seconds' should not accumulate any significant error over time. If it is a tiny bit late due to only checking every 0.016 seconds, it subtracts the lateness from the next run, so the next run is a tiny bit quicker to compensate. While this introduces an (almost undetectable) amount of variation in the duration between individual runs of 'Every X seconds', it means in the long run it's actually pretty stable.

  It's better just to make everything in the event system, if you can. It requires a fairly significantly different way of thinking to traditional programming, but you'll get used to it.

  Display glitches could be driver problems. Are your graphics card drivers up to date? Can you reproduce in every browser? Have you tried other systems?

  Closing, this will be fixed by Ludei's next launcher update. In the mean time use the standard physics as a workaround.

  Typically the preferred option, especially for Android, is to publish using a wrapper like CocoonJS - audio should work a lot better there.

  Safari iOS before 6.0 effectively doesn't support audio in the browser at all. iOS 6 should work OK, and last I read was already installed on 93% of all iOS devices.

  The situation with Android isn't so good. It's not Construct 2's fault, but the Android browsers just don't really support audio right now. I don't think there's any framework or library that can work around it. Chrome for Android should be getting the Web Audio API soon, which should make everything work fine on there. The stock Android browser is total garbage though, and probably will never work - you'll just have to wait for it to be replaced by Chrome (which is steadily happening).

  nutmix - not sure we can fix that I'm afraid. The way the WebGL renderer draws text, it can't take in to account the background color, since it draws via rendering to a texture, then copying the texture to the display. In canvas2D it draws directly on to the display so it can properly blend with the background. I'm not sure what we could do to fix this or work around it.
