  Note if you have two sounds both normalised to 0 dBFS and play them both simultaneously, there is a high chance of clipping distortion, and the chance increases the more sounds you layer on. This is a normal result in digital audio. Some systems have built in compressors or limiters to avoid this, but if not you can avoid it by playing back (or mastering sounds at) a lower volume, e.g. -6 dB.

  Why would you use 'trigger once' in a group other than with the intent for the event to run once whenever the group was activated? That's what it means and that's what you'd use it for. What were you expecting to happen instead?

  We don't have any official games. We work round the clock on C2 as it is and couldn't possibly spare the time. The Arcade is a good place to find Construct 2 made demos.

  Node-webkit effectively is Chrome so it's strange if there are difference. I think it uses software processing (not sure there's anything to be gained from hardware processing audio any more - even phones have multicore processors so can dedicate a CPU core to audio). Buffer sizes are internal details that are probably browser/OS specific. Playing lots of sounds at once will probably clip before it distorts due to the processing load.

  You shouldn't generally do this, because if you used any new features at all from the newer version it will probably explode in the old version.

  It's probably impractical to take donations by card. If you want to tip someone say $1, almost all of that will be swallowed up by the card processing fees. Then if someone issues a chargeback it can cost the seller up to $15, so it's actually possible to lose money.

  Bitcoin however is perfectly suited to this kind of thing. Tom, could we add a 'bitcoin address for tipping' field to tutorials?

  It really is the most convenient way to minify the code. To avoid security problems, install it then immediately disable the browser addons or extensions for java in any browsers you use. There is a web-based closure compiler minification service, but it's pretty slow and unreliable.

  Closing as won't fix - afraid this is by design. The pin behavior updates positions at the end of the tick, when events have finished running. So you do have to wait until the next tick before the position will be updated.

  Construct 2 doesn't use the larger sprite sheet sizes if there aren't enough images to fill them up, so if you only have enough frames to fill a 512x512 sheet then it will still use a 512x512 sheet. Larger spritesheets can also in some cases use less memory since less sheet space is wasted. What makes you think that's the problem?
