  • Waiting anxiously!

LOL! Sorry guys, I'll try to get this finished this evening. I was stricken with man-flu a few days ago, so obviously I'm at death's door. Taken me a lot longer than expected. Also, I'm not 100% sure on the music I've selected, but it seems better than the others I've looked at, and it's royalty free so it can be used anywhere.

    Stay tuned!

  • Cheers! PM'd you back!

  • Phew, nearly done with this... Just Droid Ball to add in, and then I'm done. It's tricky getting decent gameplay when I'm trying to control both ships on my own. I wonder if the wife'll help... Nah, that would look worse...

  • Hi guys,

When I import my FLAC music, it converts it to M4A and OOG. Now this isn't much of a bother, but each file is around 1mb in size. I'm trying to keep the file size down to under 30mb so I can use Cocoon, but I'm just over at 31mb. Does anyone know why 2 kinds are needed? I assume its in case I want both Android and IOS, but I'd rather have a choice when exporting so I can keep file sizes down.

Does anyone have a decent way of sorting out music for mobile games?

  • I love my Steam account. I have dozens of games on there, and I love that they all come to one place. In fact, I try not to buy games that don't link to Steam. The convenience of having them all in front of me is just great, rather than searching through a pile of CDs, or looking through my emails for other codes and download links. It's also very secure, so I have no complaints.

Voting something down just because you dislike the ideology of Steam is just daft in my opinion.

  • Great! Note that you can also do this from within the animation editor. Simply open up the sprite, click onto the animation frames to the right (should show "default") and more info will appear to the left. This should save you having to do an event for it :)

  • Set the speed of the animation to 0 and try again :)

  • This looks interesting. I'm interested in using the embed feature of the arcade, but the advert that appears before is putting me off. I know I can negotiate payment for this to be taken off, but would rather look for a free solution first. Does your method allow embedding?

  • Thanks sqiddster & , I'll ensure these are included. I'll hopefully get this done this weekend, so the more submissions I get today the better the video <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Not a problem. I currently make a living doing this kind of thing, so I'm looking forward to it. I don't think I'll have any problems taking video clips from your YouTube video, but I'll let you know if I have any problems.

    Thanks!

  • Hi guys!

I plan on making a compilation video of games that have been made with Construct2 to try to help promote it a little more! I considered just jumping onto the Arcade and recording me playing some of the games on there, but thought it would be a better approach to... you know... have peoples consent! LOL!

Therefore, if people would like to have their game(s) included, please can you post a link on here and I'll get to work. It doesn't matter if it's on the Arcade, in prototype stage, or just a demo, all are welcome and encouraged. I'll try to get as many as I can put together, and if you'd like to have the game title and your name/alias included, please post that too!

Hope to hear from you guys soon!

  • Glad to see this, voted and posted!

However, the first video that loads up is quite dated now... it would be good to see one which shows all of the exporters now (instead of "more coming soon").

We need a Construct 2 games mix video :)

Corr, brilliant artwork! I'd work with you in a heart-beat! I love the simplistic style and subtle shading.

  • Can you describe what you want in greater detail or provide what you have so far?
