  • Hi there!

I'm Alexei Butrin (pronounced as Bootreen) from Russia. Im working on puzzle prototype called Ecodigger. I think SC2 is just great and suits for my needs perfectly so I decided to buy it. The main idea for Ecodigger is to create tiled world with complicated physic rules gravity, water pressure and levelling, water infiltration into the soil and so on. Player will be able to dig tiles to reach various treasures below and grow plants to fix friable soil and gain vital resources for further work: food for fatigue removal, compost for fertilizing poor soil, etc.

Right now I dont have much to show Ive stuck a little with water pressure and levelling calculations, but sure I can solve this in a few days. But I invented already very plain and simple way to create and operate tiled level via array object, wrote robust level-editor with import/export to JSON-format and added some primitive physics to prototype gravity, water merge, moistening and rough water levelling. I also created a simple debugger which helps me to find bugs and fix it.

Current prototype version is available at Left click deletes tiles, right click changes tile types consecutively. Right, left and bottom borders locked for edition.

When the physical part of the prototype will be ready I plan to create a series of tutorials for those of yours who also creating tilegrid-based games.

Sorry for possible mistakes my English isnt good enough yet. Hope I can find a friends and like-minded peoples here and practice in English too. :)

    Sincerely yours, Alex.

  • Hi, I'm Dani! I like old gen games (snes, master system, gameboy,... ). I mostly inspired by them and I'm trying to breath them new life.

I'm working on a platformer game with Construct Classic, and I exploring html5 games possibilities too.

    I am a 3d graphist.

    See ya <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hey all! I'm Jim. Just finished my first game. Can't get it to upload to the arcade because it mistakenly thinks I'm using an older version of Construct2, but I'll try to figure that out later. Great product. I'm having lots of fun.

  • Hello,

My name is Iancu. I currently work as a sysadmin.

Up to this point in my life I have done and sampled many things, but now I am bound by a "work - home - sleep - redo" routine that I am not particularly fond of. So I am trying to gather my strength to achieve something I have been dreaming a lot about - tell my own stories through video-games, which I consider to be a formidable form of artwork.

I found construct 2 while searching for 2d game making engines. What attracted me about it was the positive reviews (the word simplicity and visual interface helped a lot, since I am no programmer). Oh and I like the fact that there is a friendly comunity here too.

I have completed a few tutorials, I have created a small game of my own and I must say I like construct and the way it works - I like it a lot. I just hope it is able to do more than just simple platform and arcade stuff, but those are things yet to be discovered. So hopefully I will be around for a long time.

  • Ahoy!

My name is Daniel, a serious software developer during the day, and a (newbie just started) game developer at night. Looking forward to making some interesting games, and Construct seems really promising in helping with that.

    Cheers! :)

  • Hi folks, I used to work BIG computers, like 14' long and 6' high and boasted 1mb of ram. I started with a zx spectrum (8bit 16k ram)and wrote simple games in machine code, then I got an atari and used STOS, then Amiga and used AMOS etc... up to ...gamemaker and now I have just discovered C2.

I love the simple and logical way it works.

    Seems like a nice community too, I like it <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Howdy howdy,

I've been making games for the past couple of years and have been loving it a whole bunch. I just recently started in with HTML5 and so far C2 definitely seems the way to go. It just works. I first started making games when I was a little kid and all I had was my father's very, very, very old DOS computer, so I used to make choose-your-own-adventure games in DOS. Good times.
