It was partially responsible for the inspiration in making Chamber.
On an official note:
Deadeye and myself are now resuming work on Chamber. We will be keeping all discussion private at this stage as we have decided to rework the entire engine from scratch. Chamber has now been officially "upgraded" to "serious" status, and will be a closed group project.
This thread will remain active for public betas, demos, and critique... but the main build will be taking place elsewhere at this stage.
Anyone keen on helping with the project is encouraged to apply via PM (make sure both myself and deadeye get a copy), but keep in mind we are both "very particular".
I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming rework as much as the original test versions to date. The scope for the project is now a more long term goal so we can make it as good as possible... possibly even having some sort of online multiplayer system so you can compete against other runners.
We will be keeping everyone posted with updates as we progress, but I wouldn't expect to hear much until early next year as we take a little bit of time to re-evaluate and redesign the current system.
There will also be a rework of the game "style" at some point in the next couple of weeks, and would like to consider you guys here in the community as judge and jury for the final choice in art style. I guess I will have to make a poll or something once we have a few choices to pick from.
