Are leaderboards possible without multiplayer plugin?

Hi devs,

im thinking up a game where a leaderboard would be great but i want to know whether u need the multiplayer event to include it in the game.

im not talking about the leaderboard thingy on scirra arcade but like a separate layout which can display different scores from different player around the world.

so does this need the multiplayer plugin which cant be accessed with my free edition plan?

The Multiplayer plugin does not do leaderboards. It allows players to send data to each other over the Internet, but it does not permanently remember anything, so it cannot be used to remember things like hi-scores.

oh alr so how is it possible to make a leaderboard?
