  • Hello everyone,

I am facing a problem with my character's animation in Construct 3. I have created an animation with 10 frames and have set the origin to the bottom center for all of them. However, when I run the animation, I notice that there are jumps between the frames.

These are the steps I have already tried:

I have trimmed the excess transparent edges in each frame.

I have ensured that all frames have the same dimensions.

I have manually set the origin to the same position for each frame.

Despite these efforts, the issue persists. I believe the problem might be related to the alignment of the character within each frame, as it visually appears that the character is not perfectly aligned between different frames.

To help diagnose the issue, I am sharing a .c3p file with two versions of the animation: the first as a sprite strip and the second as individual frames with the origin set to the bottom center.

Could anyone suggest any method or tool within Construct 3 to consistently align the frames and avoid these jumps? Any tips or techniques you have used would be very helpful.

Thank you in advance for your help!

  • In the animation editor, activate the Onion Skin option, it is the third starting from the right, it allows you to see the shadow of the frame previous to the one you are in, to realize where it should be positioned to avoid having these changes, you will notice for example example that frame 5 is far to the left compared to 4
