Game development stories & opinions
I recently learned how to save + display high scores (still very new to Construct 3), but can only get it to display correctly in-game and not on the title screen, which is where I wanted to put it. The "High Score" text appears, but no number is displayed. How can I fix this?
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
By in game and title screen do you mean they are 2 different layouts? If it's working in game layout you need to add the same events to the event sheet linked to the title screen. This will be set text to ""&score.
Many thanks, it's working now. I didn't copy all of the events over to the correct event sheet.
Is there a way to reset the high score back to 0?
You can use 'set global variable' to 0 at a specific point, or the more risky 'reset global variables' which will reset all globals so that might not be useful here.
Many thanks plinkie. :)
