Hi Construct Peeps / Ashley / Tom and the rest of the Construct Team :)

After the death of Flash I've found it very hard to find a 'home' with any other game engine (Flash wasn't really a game engine, but you know what I'm saying).

I've tinkered and experimented with almost every engine that supported HTML5, but was very confused by which direction to take, because I've spent too much time listening to what everyone said I needed.

I've always known that Construct 2 was an amazing engine, but I was under the impression I needed to code my games, and I needed an engine that supported native mobile exports, in order to get the best results. After the release of Construct 3, I've decided to put some time into the engine, and found out that it's an absolutely amazing piece of software that really suits my workflow.

I've stopped listening to all the noise around me, and decided to follow my instincts, and made Construct 3, my home :)

I really believe in HTML5 tech and where it's going and I've decided to follow through with some goals that have been on my mind for a long time.

So here I go ...

1. Make 50 coffee break style games in 2019 (basically 1 every week, and have 1 week off at the end of the year).

2. Start posting daily YouTube videos about balancing Game Dev, Fun with Family and Health & Fitness. As a part of the channel I'd also like to share C3 prototypes you guys can use in your creations and some inspirational/motivational thoughts.

3. Balance my Game Dev plans for 2019, by setting some equally ambitious fitness goals.

4. Embrace and use Social Media.

I'm happy to say that week 1 is now behind me, and I've found the process extremely fun and freeing. There is something special about this quick game dev process, and I tend to focus less on the unimportant bits and pieces.

welcome to the forums, game looks good, i find it confusing what is the black and white arrow and how they influence the gameplay (as even if i tap the right bunny gets me a X )... but other than that its fun :D keep going at it.

i did got the popup, but because i was able to tap and make it disappear it just vanished and i could never get it back, to look at it. maybe add a tutorial info button where it shows the popup again not only the 1st time it runs?

other than that everything worked well :D

Just subscribed on your channel, dude, this challenge of yours is amazing, i meant to do this type of thing a long time ago, when i started using construct but hearing you in the videos, and concepts you got so far(which i agree with), you just confirmed why i didn't started or completed my challenge, is that cause i always overcomplicated the game design, and i wanted to to have more power ups, more design, more features, where in the end the game needs to be fun, simple, and give you that 5 minutes of stress relieve. You are on the right track! i would've joined you but my current job doesn't offer me that much time. Maybe soon will come after your challenge ^_^

I know from experience how hard it is to finish stuff when you get yourself stuck in that whole questioning and over thinking loop.

This whole game making thing will always have its frustrations (bugs etc.), but all in all it should be a fun, playful thing.

I feel like the 12 year old us, would never question half the stuff we do as adults. Let's have fun with this and get stuff out there :)

Nice work, very clean art style and looking forward to see what happens with your challenge. In the end you can bundle them all and make a Wario Ware style uber collection of games. Keep up the good game dev!

One thing I suggest, create a framework for global / cloud high score which you can easily add to all of your games, it will keep folks playing to try to get on the leader board and once you have the framework you can add it quickly to each game.

Thanks heaps for the feedback! Love the ideas - I was thinking of possibly doing something similar when I finish :) Who know yet what shape it will take, but I'm excited and enjoying the journey/challenge.

The scores thing is a really great idea, and something I've really been wanting to implement.

Sadly, I wouldn't know the first thing about setting up a high-scores framework (and currently don't have any spare time to learn), but I've been looking at one that a Gamedev friend created.

If I can't get it to work with Construct 3, I might hire somebody to make me a plugin in the near future.

For leaderboard, there's a paid plugin that supports leaderboard under the Playfab cloud service (which will probably be free for you to use, since it only starts to cost $ when you hit the big leagues and are monetizing.)
