What if they move to a $99 per month (build box)/$49 per month (Adobe)/€160 per year (bitwig) model?

People have to remember, a huge number of Construct users are from the Americas, so we'll probably hear something around 2pm when some of them have woken up to make a bigger splash online.

    Just sensible marketing.

    Saying that! Gimme gimme gimme!

i dont know if humanity is ready for this big change

Heh! Then I'm out. I hate the world slowing moving into a subscription based thing, where nobody owns anything yet continue to pay for everything.

I can't see that happening, otherwise Scirra would have charged for exporters and the like.

When fibre optics get fast enough, they're planning on only allowing you to stream the software, so not only will you never own it but you'll never even download it.

its a better model why ? because updates are getting better like unity new updates every update is like a big new version

but best model is unreal engine 4 pricing

Dongles, Internet connection required, subscriptions, it's all just ways of punishing paying customers.

I wish some softwares had a lease or rent a day option. There's a lot of software i bought or subscribe to but rarely use (Maybe once every couple of months). Would much rather "rent" it for a day or week. Monthly subscription seems way to long, even if you can unsub. If i just needed a software to use if for a quick fix, convert, whatever a one time pay, or rent for a day licence would fit a lot of software.

Maya for example. Full Maya subscription costs. €242/Month .. that's way to much for something I use maybe 2 days per month. For professionals working with it full time i can understand, but for people just need to use it every now and then it's way too much.

    OMG, it's stunningly

I agree that UE4 and Unity pricing are the best way for developers, but for the product owner is dangerous because they need good developers with good products in order to take the necessary money to continue working...

Maybe a hybrid pricing with a low cost for indies and starters and taking a percentage of benefits on commercial games would be good for everyone...

Scirra says in FB: "Something's coming. February 1st. Stay tuned."

...and I say: "I can't stay tuned anymore!!!, I need to eat, to drink, to go to the bathroom...... Please! say something soon!"
