  • I'm afraid it's not possible to help from just this information. Generally we need issues to be reported to the issue tracker following all the guidelines and providing the requested information in order to be able to help. If you press F12 and look in the browser console for a more detailed error message, that information is often very useful as well.

  • Hey, thanks for the reply, but i am on a chromebook, where f12 is blocked, and i can't make a github account because it is blocked, so.. i am going to try to give as much info i can. How to represent this isssue: 1. go to editor.construct.net 2. Log in to account 3. Opening via cloud (dropbox) 4. Logging into dropbox. Sometimes it just opens as normal, sometimes it says "Not a valid file, please check if it is a .c3p file" sometimes it downloads it and gives a fatal error saying that contruct needs to restart, and i am sure that it is a valid file, because it sometimes does work.

Also something to note is that my cookies reset every time i start the computer (because only 2gb storage). I hope that this is enough information, and if not, please let me know what extra info you may need. Kind regards, GamingCat9439

I tried these steps and could open a project OK. I'm afraid it's probably impossible to help further unless you can either find a way to reliably reproduce the problem, or access the developer tools - perhaps you could try a different system, or talk to the system administrator.

  • I have also had this problem. But closing C3 and re-opening it has usually fixed this.

My Internet browser system is Microsoft Edge.

It is almost as if something is being loaded too soon, maybe it is a download fail or something. I don't use Dropbox, I use Google Drive. I can't remember if this has happened to offline files as well, probably, but I'll try to remember and let you guys know if it happens again.

It is also to note, that Construct.net page has always been generally slow for me. Looking up stuff in the manual takes ages, lots of loading, sometimes the forum times out and does not update after refresh.

  • Thank you both for your reply's, i will try them. Once i try it on another system, i will send the logs (via dev tools)

  • Okay... So i think i know what the issue might be

So, to test if there is a corrupted file or whatever, i tried to remove all audio, it worked flawlessly, but if i add audio, even though it is a valid file, it does not want to open, so i suppose that it is a issue with the audio loading/importing. Thanks for reading.

  • never mind, it's just dropbox not working correctly... i downloaded the file to a sd card, and it works now.
