Your C2 tests

  • Hehe not bad

A little bug though, on the ending screen, I was still able to shoot :D

But as you said, it's nice and quick to make games with C2 that can be hosted/broadcasted so easily on the net.

  • Kyatric thanks for pointing it out :))

I'm planning to make an island survive game, i have alots of ideas but currently out of my ability now :(

Edit: there's something wrong with my link, copy and paste the link on a blank tab will make it work.

    Edit2: my bad =))

  • You have a space at the end of your URL :)

    Nice job with the demo.

  • , nice game. it reminds me of the arcade games from the 80s that would eat my quarters because i would die so much and so often. <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

01lifeleft, nice demos. i was not able to protect my girlfriend. :-\

  • Hey guys,

I was checking the forum again after a long time and found this thread "Your C2 Test", so I'm sharing this here...

I was testing some way to write the game story on the screen while the character advance through the game.

    The Plot Thickens<<

It's just a very very very small test, basically string concatenation.

I was expecting a game for September Experimental Gameplay contest (Story Game)

but meh, had other projects, didn't have the time/energy

  • Started working with C2 last week, been making a space shooter in my spare time. I'm getting a bit too ambitious with my plans for it so I keep forgetting to add in things I need to do and end up going off in a random direction and adding something that wont be needed for ages. Any feedback is welcome, and don't mind the boss sprite placeholder.

As I try to enable webGL, the background disapear (maybe a bug!?)

WebGL doesn't support tiled backgrounds (yet?). I had the same problem with my game.

  • This topic about the subject.

    Use power of two textures.

  • Hello all.

I am on more of the side of design and art so I am trying to figure out some kind of programming stuff. So I can make some small games to showcase my artwork and sprite work.

Taking what I learned looking at tutorials and fun I had playing in construct classic I just jumped in with my protosprites and starting just adding stuff and seeing what came of it and this is the first somewhat thing that came out.

(left and right arrow to move, shift jump, and Z to shoot)

I planing on to work out better control and actually make a game out of it.

Hah, that's pretty fun to mess around with. You could add in a feature so that it charges up the throw when you hold Z and then shoots when you release it. I'd play it :P

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Hah, Thanks Cerbyn very nice suggestion I actually had the same thought after I posted.

Already updated a good amount trying to make it feel better and now you can charge your shot by holding down z. Also now you can't score up through the basket.

Larger playing area for adding another basket maybe

  • Here is something I'm working on. Pretty new to Construct but very excited to create a game of my own.

This was a concept I thought would be interesting. Taking a twist on the old school shooters.

  • once you charge your shot, you cannot change the direction you are shooting. you should be able to. nice start so far.

  • jickay

I like that concept really fun to mess with. i would like to see how it all works out with more added to it. Never would have though of it myself, wish I had, would be fun to make and see how far i could take it and what I could do with it.

Actually i did that on purpose as a design choice, for the purpose of making shooting more strategic. The fact that the ball will be vulnerable to your opponent while you are trying to shoot, and not be able to keep the ball away till the last second before you shoot at full power. I might change it later if it turns out that it does not work the way I would like. But for now I'm gonna keep it that way and see how it works out
