I am trying to prototype a concept and I'm running into a little bit of trouble with some physics and motion. The things I am trying to accomplish are:
-simulate one rope swinging in a pendulum type motion
-Once I click i want a character attached to the rope to release and continue a somewhat realistic trajectory.
As of right now I have I have a fixed straight arm swinging back and forth at 180 degrees and a character that releases on a click. But once released just stops at the release point and falls straight down.
Can anyone provide a little direction?

I think you could make the character a physics object as well, and then based on the angle and speed of the rope, you can apply a force on the character to simulate throwing it
