Performance on iOS devices

  • Hello,

    I would like to share with you mine dilemma regarding preformance on certain Apple device.

    Iw tested in web preview my current work on several devices found in local Apple store.

    Naturaly iPhone5 is fastest and it gives 40-50 fps

    iPad 4 performed 35-40 fps

    iPod touch performed 30-35 fps

    iPad 2 performed 25-30 fps

    iPhone4S performed 5-10 fps (tested on several devices)

    i was shocked to see iPhone4S to perform so poorly since its specs are identical to iPad2 or iPod touch5.

    Can anyone enlighten me how is that possible?

  • The browser you're using probably has different version on both devices or is simply written differently for both devices, OR the settings of the browsers are different.

    I suggest using CocoonJS to test your games on the iOS. You'll notice 2-3x better performance :)
