  • Just want to voice my support - stellar graphics! Music fits the mood, too. Keep it up!

  • Thanks guys for the encouraging words!

  • I actually have a matter that I need some opinions on.

Here are screenshots for the Mexican Desert World.

I'm wondering if it's better to have the Mexican Desert to have grass or sand? That question may sound silly but I'd thought I'd ask.

  • I vote for Sand, looks better to me.

  • Definitely Sand! Where I come from Grass is not green Onigiri triangles <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • sand sir...no doubt.

  • Thanks for the input guys!

Just going to stick this.... here...

A quick BONUS Level concept. So even though you need to use the birds to beat the bonus level, it's not required... it's optional just to try to get extra lives. Let me know what you think of this concept overall. Thanks

  • sand ;)

  • OK changed Ubi's running speed (which makes the game feel a lot more insane). I did a speed run of Level 3 so let me know what you think of the way this feels over the original speed.

And here is a sound test for the jumping and landing AND it features a look at the new Desert World (with the old speed)

liked the speed run, i got some suggestions:

didn't noticed if there anything that indicates there's a hidden cave.. should be a good idea to add a hint..

also.. the AI of the enemies I think should be a little better.. enemies do more things.. u know?

  • Thinking about the Ouya, it makes me wonder: wouldn't it be cool if there was a game system like that but it read and played the project files of all the popular indie game dev platforms? So that way, you wouldn't have to learn a new system/language in order to translate your game to that console platform. You just buy a yearly membership like XBLIG has, and as long as that's current you can create and put your games up for sale.

Man, a system like that would be a beast for indie games. The system would have like 5,000 games at launch day! :-)

  • I finally sat down to start drawing up an official cover for super ubi land.

I only did the rough pencils tonight, I'll begin inking and coloring tomorrow.

That would be completely unmanageable and insecure.

NotionGames I really like the way you draw clouds.

  • That would be completely unmanageable and insecure.

    Why?

  • I've been invited to SXSW and The Austin Chronicle's "Game on Austin" event. I'll be showing Super Ubi Land and will be working every night til the show to get a really fun build together.

The event is Oct 25th, so that leaves me just over a month to get as much as i can done.

I just finished my promo material for the show so that I can concentrate on the game again.
