  • Imagine every little snippet of code you ever wanted, all pre configured, all ready for copy and paste, and all at your fingertips.

    Now imagine not having to paste it, and imagine being able to move all your work around as easy as putting Legos together.

  • I could see where it would be useful for something that's rarely seen like a powerup, or a badge, notifications, etc.

    For example you might have a little in-game tutorial that the player can go back and look at.

    Then again those images would probably take up little memory, or placed in another layout.

  • Best tip I could give is learn what %, or modulo does.

  • I've noticed quite a few flash games use a loading animation like the circular gradient. It can be annoying, but at least you get an idea of whats going on.

    Perhaps if there was an option to say what assets get loaded when needed?

  • You can use a Boolean( aka a variable ) to tell it when it can move.

    A simple distance() behavior would be nice.

  • Well I'm no expert on mobile, and can't say if it will work minimized, but with the app running full time, a bare bones example could be made in say

    15 minutes.

    Also just realized a server can only do things that are time based, and can't monitor some other location, so that idea is pretty much out.

  • A server would be needed if you want it to work if the app is off.

  • The app will have to be running, yes.

    Then I don't think you can call the phone, but you can make a sound sure enough.

    You might look into notifications(Cocoonjs etc.) perhaps.

    That would most likely require a server, and add several degrees of difficulty.

  • All you're doing is checking if your current location is close to another location... every x seconds.

    System "Is between values" should suffice.

  • Double click on the layout, scroll down to where it says Media, double click Geolocation.
