  • NW.js is just a standalone build of Chrome, so I guess the same thing applies there? (i.e. FRAPS can't record Google Chrome)

That's really not our problem or even NW.js' problem, that's something FRAPS need to fix.

  • They can if they make the necessary adjustments to their network configuration, but that depends entirely on their specific setup.

  • You don't really need an externs.js file. Just use obj["prop"] syntax for anything from external scripts.

Note if you use something like externalLib["someFunc"], then 'externalLib' is not using the ["prop"] syntax so will be renamed and broken by the minifier. Solution: just use window["externalLib"]["someFunc"].

  • The limit of 10,000 images is a limit in Windows - a limit in the native technology - which all apps face, including Windows-based browsers, and the C2 editor itself. I've researched it a bit and only found a blog post from a Microsoft engineer claiming it "should be enough for anyone". Go figure.

I think a better question is how can you need so many thousands of images? That's crazy!

  • You could set up a TURN server, but then you have to pay for the server and the bandwidth that routes through it.

Note this is a problem of the architecture of the IPv4 internet - it's not specific to C2, any peer-to-peer connections have to deal with this.

  • — - no - as per the bug report guidelines we ask that you reproduce the problem in a new empty project and share that. Complete projects are not useful to us anyway, since they are generally too difficult to debug.

  • Peer-to-peer connections are blocked by some firewalls or network setups. You will only get about 90% connectivity by default.

  • Please follow the bug report guidelines, in particular indicating which version of Construct 2 you are using, and attaching your .capx.

  • We already support universal apps, and if there is anything we need to change to support the Xbox One then we will obviously do that as soon as humanly possible.

As for Spartan I've heard it has performance improvements, so it should be a nice improvement over IE11 - but I don't think they have any plans to port it to windows 7/8 right now, so the ridiculous OS support limitations of IE will continue... even if Spartan is as good as Chrome, I'd still recommend Chrome or Firefox simply because you can get the latest version on any OS!

  • It's happening here too, but I have no idea why. It had minimal changes from r196 and I double checked and it still has a valid digital signature. So it seems Windows or Chrome has just randomly decided to start blocking it.

Not sure what we can do so I guess you'll just need to download with a different browser, or grab the torrent.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • The C2 runtime never makes any location requests, unless you add the Geolocation plugin and request the location, or use a third party plugin that does the same.

  • I am still not clear which part of the editor/UI/runtime you are talking about. Please file a new bug report following the guidelines and attach some screenshots since I think you need that to demonstrate what you are seeing.
