The advanced overlap condition should work exactly the same as the ordinary sprite overlap condition if both are set to pick, so you should be able to substitute that for a normal overlap condition. (The advanced condition is intended for when you DON'T want to pick one of the objects involved)
The layout object has a lot of known problems on the tracker, though, so you might want to avoid it for now.
Build Releases
In short:
OK, you should be editor now!
'point' is the name of a class (an x,y coordinate) so it's probably complaining about a bad name, like trying to declare 'bool float'.
Not in this version of Construct; you'll have to stick to per-object containers.
The angle() expression which measures the angle between two points uses atan2. I'm not aware of any other uses for atan2.
If you pass 0 as one of the two positions the result is exactly equal to atan2, ie. angle(0, 0, x,y) is equal to atan2(y, x).
Thats awesome Can you get a video of it working up?
Did you get the 96mb figure from the tool in the other forum ('what's your video hardware')? If so, that's very very little even given the fact the tool grossly overestimates physical VRAM. What actual video card is it? Look up the spec, and if you have 32mb or less of on-board VRAM, you probably have too old and limited a card to run Construct. You could also try updating your video drivers.
Maybe this weekend, I've been really busy recently though I'm afraid!
