kirothius - I recommend following beta releases more closely if you don't want this to happen again - we occasionally have to make breaking changes and in this case I believe your problems stemmed from r86's change to the Sprite 'overlapping' condition. It was marked as a breaking change but I guess you weren't following beta releases or perhaps you didn't read all the changelogs linked to from r90? Anyways, glad this is resolved - closing.

Can you share a .capx reproducing the problem?

Rendering differences between browsers are very rare, so I would suspect the real problem is something else.

This is usually a graphics card driver issue. I can guarantee none of the code involved in clicking 'New project' changed between r89 and r90, so something else might have happened in between that broke it. You say you already have up to date graphics card drivers, but it might be worth double-checking that (check directly on AMD's website for updates).

Yeah, use a sprite strip, or just save several separate PNG files.

Use PNG files instead of GIF. GIF is a very old format from the 90s which doesn't properly support alpha channels or more than 256 colors. PNG is better in almost every way and is better supported.

Crashing on new project is almost always a driver issue, but if you say a reboot fixed it and you have latest drivers, I guess it was just a quirk...

ramones's suggestion will work, but FYI Construct 2 does not have pixel perfect collisions! It only has polygon collisions.
