I don't think it's possible. You can use a clone sprite or paste the image to drawing canvas.

Is there transitions for animations? I just want the next animation to fade on top of the last without using clones. (Or do I have to use clones?)

In that case you don't need the number of tiles right?

On paletteTilemap clicked - Set selectionVariable to paletteTilemap.TileAt(paletteTilemap.PositionToTileX(Mouse.X),paletteTilemap.PositionToTileY(Mouse.Y)

On canvasTilemap clicked - Set tile at canvasTilemap.PositionToTileX(Mouse.X), canvasTilemap.PositionToTileY(Mouse.Y) to selectionVariable

I also didn't know that PositionToTile was a thing!

In that case you don't need the number of tiles right?

I was planning on adding custom tileset support in the future, so I figured it would count the number of tiles, and loop adding a new image until it was finished. I think I may want to just add it as a animation or something?

What do you need it for?

I'm making a level editor and I want to make it easy to pick a tile from a palette. So I'd like to show all the tiles and let you pick one.

-What is the logic for getting the number of tiles in a tileset?

-How do you get a tile's image and put it somewhere else, if possible?

Hello, it's me again! I am creating a platformer with a level editor.

Could the array object be used for storing level data like tiles? Or would a simple JSON document storing object positions be easier?

Sadly the only real way to change pitch in C3 (without extensions) is changing the playback speed. You can, of course, just make different sound effects for every speed, but that would be hard :(. Sorry.

Mario games handled it by checking the vertical velocity of Mario when hitting the enemy.

Mario collides with enemy

Mario y velocity >0

— kill enemy

Thanks! This makes sense. And I guess it could work with any direction, as well!

Let's just say I have a enemy. This enemy can be killed but jumping on top of it. But it hurts you from the sides or the bottom. How do I make hitboxes like this that only apply to one side?
