Notes

It's a new stable release of Construct! If you're updating from the last stable release r466.2 then this update includes changes from r467, r467.2, r469, r470, r471, r472, r473, r474, r475 and r475.2. Highlights include:

⭐ A new official 3D model plugin! Import 3D models via the Project Bar, and then display them in your project with the new object.

⭐ A range of other 3D improvements including better management of Z co-ordinates and depth sizes, new conditions/actions/expressions, and some 3D shape improvements including supporting negative depths and a new Origin Z property

Dynamic sampling - change the sampling mode per instance, layer or layout. You're no longer limited to one project-wide setting!

New fullscreen modes Integer scale inner and Integer scale outer for screen-filling display while preserving pixel art

Desktop export improvements including support for high-performance GPUs on dual-GPU laptops and improved gamepad support in Windows WebView2 exports, and support for pointer lock with no prompts across all desktop platforms

Web app updates for installing Construct 3, including new icons, side-by-side installs for beta, stable and (soon) LTS releases, and no more location banner on preview

Editor memory optimizations - large projects should now use significantly less memory in the editor, especially projects making heavy use of tilemaps

iOS export updates - now updated to the latest cordova-ios@8.0.0, and support for running 'pod install' on the build service

9 new examples including a new demo game Meowgix

We'll be starting a new beta release cycle soon. If you'd like to help test it when it's out, try the beta release opt-in: choose Notify me about updates for beta releases in Settings. Stay tuned for more updates!

  • PLEAAAAASE PUT A FUNCTION TO REMOVE IMAGE POINTS IN BULK !!! Any Aplly to All animations can become a real Hell

  • Fantastic update! I can't wait to find out what you'll cook up next 💪

  • amazing work, very excited to experiment with all of this

  • Why not add an angle change for the old 3D shapes?

  • Fantastic that we have a Z coordinate option for each instance, but we desperately need angle options for the missing 2 axes. That would make 2.5D games much more manageable.

    Cool new features!

Having a problem with my 2D game with this update though (some weird popping in / out of particle systems.) Seems to be when tweens are running, didnt happen before the update.

  • The new 3D Model plugin is great news. Thanks!

Is there a way to play an animation just once, or do I need to check the animation progress and, when it goes above 0.99, pause the current animation?

    • I mean, don't have looping enabled on the animation and use "Set animation", then, when its finished (there is "on finished" event for animations) set animation frame and speed to 0, if you want to stay on frame 0 and make it not play again. Or just set to different anim, etc

  • Pod Install on iOS was such a headache! Glad to see its been fixed!

  • In the next update, I'd like to see a setting that allows saving window positions. For those who use multiple monitors, as is my case (I use three), every time I open Construct I have to manually rearrange the windows on each monitor to the positions I usually use. This ends up being quite inconvenient, since I have to repeat the process every time I start Construct 3.

There's already support for restoring windows across multiple monitors. Try clicking 'Enable multi-monitor features' in Settings.
