Add a link in you project to opening your project github repo in Github Desktop.
Add the Github Link to you your project.
Edit the URL property to match your github repo.
Click on Github button to launch Github Desktop with your project repository active.
This is not much of a time-saver vs clicking around to open Github Desktop, but it's a nice reminder/link, so you don't need to think of what repo to use for the project.
