  • Update 1: Version 0.96

It's now possible to save a group of buttons and it will remember its properties (including the last selection).

    - When creating the group again, it will automatically load the data and display the correct selection.

    - Object management is handled automatically. When destroying a group of buttons (with a fade out effect), its buttons are automatically destroyed as well. This only requires the user to call a single Action.

Events used for this menu (from the end-user):

  • We all know that Construct 3's buttons are quite limited in features, and because they are based in CSS, it's difficult to fully customize them. Not to mention that coding fully working menus with support Mouse, Keyboard and Gamepad can take a long time, and often the results lack that sense of polish you might be looking for.

We'd like to show you what we have been working on. We will soon be releasing our Custom Button System that will allow users to very easily create buttons and menus like this:

Here's an example of the Events used for this menu and the simple interaction you see:

This system is created 100% using Events, and is 100% customizable. You can create whatever button skins you want, add tooltips, define different animations, sounds and cursor styles for your buttons. You can create entire groups of Buttons and manage them. Groups of buttons even remember their last selection, allowing you to implement fully polished menus with "game-feel" with little effort.

You'll be able to spend more time building your game, and less time doing the busy work.

This system will be very easy to setup and easy to implement in your project at any point of development.

We are currently in the process of polishing the system and will announce it here once it's completed! But if this is something that you find interesting, consider following this topic, to get notified for the release!
