Tom's Forum Posts

  • Recalculating rep will sometimes reduce rep, it's really hard to catch all the cases. For example, if you write a forum post, and then it's deleted for whatever reason at the moment I don't think it will subtract 2 rep... so when you recalc it, it deducts it there.

Also I don't think we will ever have a system to give people rep, the whole point of it is it's your reputation, it's how much this site trusts you!

  • Could do yes, I'll think about it. Again though, the problem is you don't want a spam account that's been dormant suddenly coming on and wrecking everything, I think rep should be earnt through action not inaction.

  • We are still thinking about rep so it might change a lot, you only get a tiny amount of rep per forum post, 2, take for example a comment you leave, everyone that upvotes that comment you get 10 rep. Submitting a tutorial gets you 100 rep for example as well. I'll write it up better soon!

  • I've put a support request at WebWiz, will keep you updated here. It shouldn't be too hard to fix.

  • Zack, you should be able to edit posts now. The new forum set it to 30 min limit, it's off now.

  • Hi Kyatric,

Thanks for the reports! For me:

    scirra.com/construct2/releases/new

Does redirect to r47, I'll look into it though, it might be cached? Not too sure.

In regards to the comment being cut off, sorry about that! It has a text limit. It was 500, I've set it to 1000 now. I will at some point add a counter so you know how many are left, that must be a pain to have it typed out and lose it, sorry :(

  • We decided we didn't really like the share box so much, but we've gone now exclusively with Google +1 on relevant pages.

Google +1 just says "I like this!" without posting it on your wall or forcing you to tweet it.

  • Ok should be working now, I know there's still some issues working through them now.
