  • Overview

We are looking for a short-term Construct 3 developer to support our lead developer on an existing library of interactive therapy activities and games. This role is intended to help increase development speed on defined tasks over the next few months, especially lighter implementation work, content builds, polish, revisions, and marketing-priority items.

This person will work under the direction of our lead developer, following our existing workflow, project structure, naming conventions, and technical decisions. We are not looking for someone to take over architecture or make major independent system decisions. We are looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable implementing clearly defined tasks within an established process.

    About the project

We are a small company focused on developing interactive digital therapy activities for use in vision therapy, brain rehab, reading-related skills, and related areas. We already have a lead developer, established workflows, and a growing backlog. We're looking for short-term support from someone who can execute well-defined tasks efficiently and accurately.

    What this developer would do

This person would assist with routine and moderately complex Construct 3 tasks such as:

Building activities from written specs, mockups, assets, and JSON/config guidance

Implementing screens, layouts, menus, settings, and gameplay flow

Adding art, audio, animations, and UI elements into existing projects

Creating or duplicating level structures and adjusting variables based on provided instructions

Implementing scoring, feedback, timers, session flow, and other defined mechanics

    Making revisions after testing

Fixing bugs and cleaning up smaller issues

Preparing polished builds for review, demos, or marketing use

Following documentation and handing work back cleanly for the lead developer to review

What this developer would not own

This role is not intended for:

    setting overall architecture

    making major system decisions independently

redefining core game logic without approval

making clinical decisions about therapy design

changing established workflows without lead developer approval

    Required skills

    The ideal candidate should have:

solid hands-on experience with Construct 3

experience working with event sheets, variables, families, layers, behaviors, and game states

the ability to follow existing patterns instead of building everything from scratch

    good attention to detail

clear communication and willingness to ask questions when needed

comfort working from written specifications and revision notes

the ability to deliver organized, reviewable work

    Preferred

It would be a plus if the candidate has experience with:

educational games, therapy games, or skill-based training games

    UI implementation and game polish

importing assets and preparing clean project files

bug fixing and debugging inside existing projects

working collaboratively with a lead developer rather than as a solo owner

    What success looks like

A strong candidate will be able to take a defined task, implement it accurately inside Construct 3, communicate clearly about progress or blockers, and return work that is clean enough for our lead developer to review quickly without needing to rebuild it.

    Project structure

This is a short-term support role for a few months. Workload may vary depending on the project phase. We are open to starting with a small paid test task before assigning larger work.

    To apply

    Please send:
