  • OK so after importing icons, you then need to pick a "purpose" for those you intend to use.

In my case, everything was "(none set)" and gets me the error seen in the previous post.

For better UX, would be nice to have that mentioned as a warning on the "Import Icons" Window + in the error message.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I use the default options when exporting with WebView2:

In 100% of cases I get a header error when unzipping:

No real problem, I then try update the custom icons using WindowsIconUpdater.exe :

I tried on a new project: when right click the default Construct icons in the folder "Icons & screenshots" -> edit -> import image

    Everything works fine.

Deleting the existing icons and replacing with my own via "import icons" gets me the error above (also, after importing, the icons are not visible, i have to reload editor.construct.net and reopen my project to see the icons in the sidebar).

All my custom icons are the same as the default Construct setup (size, name, format).
