  • hey guys. happy to be back with my pc not just a laptop... but... i came back to the issue of c3 not pasting in the drawing editor.

    it works in incognito mode

    i think the culpret is adblocker.

    just incase anyone else has had this issue. thought it would be useful to know 2 workarounds

  • you need to export your game. (as html)

    menu- project- export

    then unzip the saved folder.

    to submit drag the files into it.(all of them)

    its... kinda jank on itch.io make sure anything that may clip you is smoothed

  • ahahahahahahaha well, unless you have an artist friend. id rather spend 3 days coding than drawing.

    game just seems boring with a bunch of squares.

    free art. keep me interested and ill personalize the style later

  • im sure theres a hookshot game on construct 2 i dont want to waste time during the jam. bless the age of ai art tho.

  • so. click to shoot. the head art needs to rotate to mouse

    charge shot is the first skill.

    it works but i dont have a hold to charge (spark) it just works to break walls.

    4 days. 26-30th any help is sound. im happy to have my name on it if someone wants to perfect it. or team

    anyone want to add to it. ive really got to prepare for the festival. then im abroad. go home to my pc finally. ill try to keep working on this.

    need someone to make the worm animations just a soldier atm. no jump... but a hookshot string needed. fly and frog enemies. ill probably do that. but ill need artists if i code it.

    basic enemies. got some runes and doors.

    style is this device has been modified. portal.

    feel free to try edit its mostly scattered art atm. but the core game is all there

    but, this is a laptop not my pc. ill go ask in the dice rooms for dropbox advice so i can upload. been a few years since i uploaded sorry. 20 mins ish

  • not sure if its game jam 26th. couldnt find the thread. i nearly finished a very basic artless game.

    if anyone is interested let me know. i need the hookshot code really. a smoother animation for the worm and enemies. i have enemies programed... well.. a follow on sight.

    ill post a rough game in an hour or so.

    game is. you are a robotic "worm" you are the positive virus. you dont realise as you play. but you are clearing viruses from a crashed ship. kill and eat enemies. after enough are killed. you gain a rune. you can open a rune gate and get a new skill.

    no jumping. just a short range attack. then a charge shot. then a string shop, to grapple climb.

  • never played with los and platform before,... also im rusty.

    i want an enemy to run towards you on a platform game when they have los. i have the text say yes when they have los.

    is it because i disabled platform input?

    Id love to make a game together.

    Ive been making demos for years.

    I get lost in the art... so, im happy to focus art.

    I have a great idea, lara croft style girl goes to island.

    She has nothing, needs to craft basic tools.

    Better tools, ie water canteen, can explore further. Water and food system.

    Game simular to alien earth pc.

    But, graphically, its 2d, background scroll to you.

    I coded it so you can just draw a tilemap. And the game spawns 15 tile radius around you to save on memory.

    Working on craft system. I want it to be simple game, with great art.

    Anyone have time to help code? Or maybe better artists out there?

    Im ok with art and animations, just takes forever
