  • Thanks for the reply. Don't s'pose you could lay out what commands I'd need to use? I have no idea where to start. I was comparing the player's Y, but it was counting down.

  • Hey. Was wondering how I'd use a text box to display how high a player has traveled. I could figure out how to display his current height, but I'm guessing it'd go back down if he goes down. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

  • Aw yeah! That's brilliant! Thanks much!

  • Thanks for the replies. I'm a total noob to Construct, so I'm not really sure what I'm at. I've set the values like this, but it kinda just shifts the object a bit. There's no shaking. Sorry to be a pest.

  • Hey. Would love to get enemies to shake for a second when hit by the player. I've seen it in a video, but have no idea how to do it. I think guy used the Scroll To behaviour, but when I use it, it just shakes the whole camera! Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

  • Hey. Making a wee sidescrolling hack n' slash. I've got the player flinching back when he collides with an enemy, but using the same commands on the enemy doesn't work right. I've used the Set vector command to make him go into the air and go back, but he only goes into the air. Was wondering if you guys could help me out.

    Here's what I have.

  • Jaysis! That game is BEAST HARD! Very good. I could get hooked on this thing.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Brilliant! That's it sorted. Thanks much.

  • Looks slick. Downloading right now.

  • Hey. Been trying to edit a sprite, so I double click on it to get the window up, but nothing shows, when I try again, I get a message saying it's already open! Gasp! I can't see it anywhere though.

It was showing fine while working in the house. This problem only happens on my work PC.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

  • I love Pyxeledit. It's not free, but it's only about $9. It's brilliant for mocking stuff up since you can create your own tiles n' plaster them about, then, if you edit one, they all update to fit the changes. the sprite animation and export options are brilliant too. It's in beta though, so there are a few tools n' features missing, (like flipping horizontally/vertically), but it's the only program I use for my pixelling.
