  • Thank you a lot for your time, I made all modifications based on your comment and now it seems to work as expected, Mechanics works better now but it´s not solving it 100%.

    Now it jumps a little bit far cause it´s not stopping on air, but what I really wanted is making the Cat jump more realistic, like giving the jump more like a directional jump so it can land a little bit far, in that scenario what is the best? I tried adding less gravity when cat is on air but it just spends more time in the air instead of keep moving forward in air, since don´t have this "developer thinking" I´m just asking for tips how can I solve this issue, maybe some physics affecting X-axis on air?

  • Yes of course, basically I defined states acording actions calling groups activating and deactivating, second pic also included on left of the screen my character platform behaviors as you can see it´s a Cat lol, I´m still polishing some mechanics I need to fix sometimes run and jump bugs and animation goes idle but I´m focusing right now in this weird jump, perhaps since it´s a cat the jump doesn´t feel right, if you put a Mario jumping looks cool but cat must jump more like 45 degrees.

    Feel free to sincere with me if you consider I did a ****** work cause sure I did lol.

  • First of all hi to everyone, I´m new here and with C3, I´m a professional media designer in my 40s making my first game as a hobby thanks to this tool and lots of tutorials, and of course thanks to you too who helped me a lot in other posts answering other users but helping me too.

    I made my character walk, crouch, crouch walking, sprint and jump using groups and states and make states deactivate all groups except the one I want to solve all mechanics, everything works smooth BUT now I have this issue:

    My character walks and jump and sprints and jump, it walks speed is 60, it jumps strength is 200 everything is fine there but the problem is when it sprints cause I made it change speed to 275 and jump strength to 270, it works but since now it jumps higher and faster, but it goes up and slight to the direction I press and then it lands in a straight line instead of keep falling forward and land using the sprint speed.

    Tried lowering gravity when it´s in the air but it´s kinda the same, also used acceleration / deceleration but is not working as I want.

    Any suggestions?
