Easy peasy! Insert a Mouse object, and it has a "On object clicked" condition. Put in the sprite you want and voila.

  • The web storage only stores the values you put in to it - it doesn't store the game state automatically. You can make a save game by storing all the necessary information in WebStorage though. A really simple way would be to store the current level, for example. Then you can restore them to the last level rather than having to save every single object's position, angle etc.

WebStorage stores the data in the browser on the user's computer. So as long as you're using the same browser and visiting the same web page, the values are remembered.

  • Ah, it looks like you want the Bone movement from Classic. That allowed you to connect together different sprites as different parts of one object and animate them that way. It's a really cool idea, but man have we got a long todo list for C2. So I'm afraid you'll have to make do with frame-by-frame animations for now, or DIY with gluing sprites together with events.

  • There's no function object in C2 yet, lucid :) The other way you said works, though. Any actions following a create or spawn action apply to the object that was created or spawned only. So there's no need for a "on created" event, really.

  • Glad you liked the beginner's tutorial :)

Unfortunately there aren't any import options for animations yet - you can only import frames as individual image files one at a time. The animations feature is relatively new so we haven't got round to advanced import features.

If you can export your SWF animation as a series of PNGs you could import them - but if you have many frames it could make the download size very large, so I wouldn't recommend it. If your SWF animation is made by moving different objects around, it would be better to import each object as a Sprite and set up some events to move them around in the same way.

  • shigalov2011, does that mean it works OK in r44?

  • I've noticed Chrome sometimes doesn't display it properly until you hit F5. Might be a Chrome bug? Oh well :S Glad it works now!
