A few weeks ago I found that there was a competition to program a game in BASIC, 10 line of code. I choose the most difficult category, max 80 characters per line and I recreated my very first game for the MSX, but with the addition of text, thing that I didn't know was possible to have together with sprites, or better the other way around, have sprites in the text mode.
Publishing it has finally closed something that was waiting to be done for at least 35 years! 🙂
I am glad that now I can use Construct to develop games much faster and way more complex, but who knows, I might retro-program some of my new games for the MSX in BASIC one day, even if it's not so great for developing games, but serve greatly as easy entry to the programmers' world.
If you are curious to read more details about it, you can check it out at this link. There is also all the code visible and commented step by step, in addition to the file that you can download and launch with an MSX emulator.
