  • Along with all those doomsdayers, I'm glad to be alive today (but for a different reason). Check out what I woke up to this morning.....LINK...www.pixeloosa.com/tree.html

    A close shave indeed!

  • Glad your safe! Although, i don't get why people have trees like that too close to their home property. That's an accident waiting to happen.

As for the apocalypse. I would have preferred to finally see some aliens. 8( x)

  • Yeah, glad you're ok. Getting nailed by a tree is a terrible way to go.

Also the apocalypse has come, its just going really really really really really really really really slow.

  • Wow, I got a tree just like that in my back yard. All waited down with heavy ice, and snow. You must live in the U.S. were that major snow storm went through yesterday. I live in Wisconsin, and I woke up to 22 inches of new snow on the ground this morning but no downed trees.

    Anyway, I'm glad to see you survived the Apocalypse <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Just don't look behind you...

I had a friend who had a Oak tree branch land on his house. It cracked his foundation among other damage. Dealing with house damage is the last thing you want to deal with when it's snowing and it's around Christmas time.

  • Rojo heee heeee love my new avatar. Is it hot outside or is it just me?

I must confess that I did do a little prepping for 2012. I bought a pair of ultra warm, ultra dry, ultra rugged boots. That was all (oh and a nice warm pair of socks). Between dealing with the tree, and having to dig my way out of about a city blocks worth of driveway, I realized my prediction came to pass,... those boots were the only thing yesterday that I could not have done without.

Thanks for your comments. After loosing my house in a forclosure, the upside now is that "Its the landlords problem, not mine". Whew!

  • Glad you are okay , Hope my uncle is safe too !

Such a bad luck to be born on the apocalypse day ... ( Yep , he's born december 21 ! )
