  • Here's another new person! whee!

I'm embarking on an adventure to make games, so here's me trying out Construct.

  • I would like to say "hi".

    So, "hi".

I like games, art and humor.

Making a game includes all three and then some.

Have fun and laugh often! [<:o)]

  • Hi!

I'm Auntie Val, and I'm a digital artist from Oregon. I wanted to learn js, so I tried out a few game tutorials on line. I discovered this program while hunting down game tutorials. I downloaded the free version a couple of weeks ago, and have been hopelessly addicted ever since. I absolutely love this program, yet I have a ton of unanswered questions. I finally came up for air long enough to sign into the forums. I've read most of the manual, tried out a handful of effects and followed Ashley's beginner tutorial. Using original artwork, and throwing in a few different actions, I was able to come up with the beginnings of a game.

If you want to check it out its over here...

I'm very right brained so alot of the coding goes straight over my head.

Anyway, I'll poke my nose in soon to see if I can get help with a little problem.

Oh, and thanks for creating this software it is simply awesome.

  • Hello, everyone. I'm Joe, graphic artist, web-designer and new to the Scirra community. This place seems great, Construct 2 is a god-send. If anyone has any cool links, or just wants to drop me a line, feel free!

  • Hello, everyone. I'm Patrick(pad) from Germany. I used to be a developer in java/java-script/php/perl/asp/c# and have a lot of experience with databases and project management.

I found this great program while i was developing my own javascript engine for my first mmo-project. After i looked up some features and tested a bit with construct i decided it had all i need (specially because i can write own plugins).

If you want to know anything, just contact me.

  • Hello all - I'm Neil, exactly one half of the game making duo known collectively as Rotary Gaming (www.rotarygaming.co.uk)

I've only just started using Construct 2 and have been really impressed with it's ease of use. A really cool piece of software.

I've just posted a little thread with our first demo/game test for a video production company I work for. Would love for you all to check it out and let us know what you think.

We're using Construct 2 to make 2d versions of the 3d games we make in another game engine. (www.3drad.com)

This should help get us some great game exposure and also make some pretty funky stuff.

Look forward to getting many great tips and chatting to you all.

    Neil.

  • Hi, I'm Zach.

Construct 2 is definitely impressive. Looking forward to seeing what I can manage to do with it.

  • Hello! My name is Ben Ward, and I'm here to make a great app without having to think about coding! That's rather funny because my main field is programming.

Anyways, I grew up playing video games just like most others here, rather forced onto it by my parents as a babysitting device, like some others. 20 years later, equipped with Unity3D and Construct and a passion for accomplishment, I'm here to make a game!

My first app will be a solo effort as I can provide the coding, art assets, and sound effects myself; however I am a sucker for helping others achieve their goals, so I just might get sucked into a few projects in the Help Wanted threads. No guarantees on my forum activity, so to be on the safe side, see you later in the Help Wanted section!

  • <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> congratulations is site much good

  • Hey, i'm not new, just looking for the badge, lol. Anyway's, I make pretty good games, currently creating a nice well prepared Gravity/Universal based Platformer.

  • Hello everybody. I am Denis, brazilian, 30 years old. At 18, I made my first (and only) game in RPG Maker 95. I tried to make other games with RPG Maker 2000/2003, but for various personal reasons I stopped programming.

Now, in adulthood, and with the support of my wife, I decided to return to my "childhood dream". I am studying at a university that includes game creation class, and recently I discovered Scirra Construct 2, a simple but powerful game maker.

My wish is to work as game designer.

  • Good Afternoon all

Brand new to this and also brand new to creating games.

my main goal initially is to create a mining type turn game where i go from each individual spot "mine" and have to mine for gold. before i get to mine for gold the player is stopped by a safety person asking to check out all the gear and make sure it is safe. if the gear is safe i can proceed to the mine and start mining.

only problem is im not sure whether it should be a top down scroller (similar to the fps tutorial or a platform game.

    any suggestions will be great.

    thanks
