  • I have alot to say about this, but most of it isn't appropriate for this forum. the story speaks for itself:

    cbs

    infowars

turns out, there may be some hope on the horizon that doesn't require a revolution:

  • I read about this awhile ago. I really don't know what to say about it that hasn't already been said. Due to the vague and sometimes contradictory wording it is, in effect, defacto martial law. May you live in interesting times, eh?

  • interesting times indeed.

and while I still have the freedom to say it without being detained indefinitely, Barack Obama has been a pathetic disappointment. I still haven't figured out if he's as evil as the rest, or just incompetent and spineless.

  • The NDAA situation is an absolute disaster with inevitably dire consequences on the horizon, but one must understand that the office of President has been re-designed to be spineless for generations now, so it's not squarely Obama's fault. He's just a figurehead, a spokesman for an agenda much larger than him and one that he has no real authority to control, like has been the situation for all Presidents for generations now. This was going to happen no matter who was President.

The Patriot Act was a beta test, and now the NDAA is an advertisement for the release of the final game. It's about to get VERY ugly.

  • I still haven't figured out if he's as evil as the rest, or just incompetent and spineless.'d go with "all of the above."

I think I've learned something about politicians this last year or two. If they're not malicious, they're morons, sometimes they're both. Rarely are they neither, but exceptions do exist (like the congress lady fron the SOPA votes whose name eludes me). It doesn't matter where you are, chances are you have nutbags running the country you live in.

  • I agree with all of the above. The NDAA is a travesty of freedom.

The thing about dystopian fiction (e.g. Nineteen Eighty-Four, A Handmaid's Tale, etc.) is that they always show the current state of totalitarian/dictatorial governments, but never detail the events that get them to that state. Laws like this are what will get us there.

    Security-at-the-cost-of-freedom FTW!

  • I told them to not hire a illuminati puppet for president.

    Ron paul is also illuminati.

  • I'm not much into it, but I found this to be an interesting aspect (sporadic funny subtitles included^^):
