Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • I'd like to see a crowdfunding website centered toward Construct 2 games. Crowdfunding is donating money to projects, and this would be for funding the development of games. I'm pretty sure you can still use something like Kickstarter while using this if you really wanted to. Kickstarter is all or nothing but this site would let you keep the money you make, and since everything is c2 games, it reduces the noise of other websites like Indiegogo offering more than just games for display. Actually, I don't even care if it's apps, so long as it's c2.

The problem is, I don't have the money to make such a website happen. Someone here with the ability should create one and ask a small fee like most crowdfunding sites do to cover the costs. You would need a website capable of handling traffic.

You can use my idea free of charge and I ask no royalty. We can all collectively advertise such a website.

  • A site that just gives you the money that anyone donates without reaching any type of minimum or having defined project would be the same as just asking for paypal donations. I don't see how this would help in place of what options are already out there...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

Nobody likes it when people ask for donations through Paypal for some reason. Don't ask me why.

A crowdfunding website simply offers a number of benefits. Possible increased exposure. A professional layout. Etc. Also, what's this about no minimum or defined project? You need a defined project. And you would still specify a minimum, you just wouldn't lose any money if you didn't reach it.

  • It sounds like you may just want to give indiegogo a shot--it does all this and has no minimum limit for a payout (if you choose). And for crowd funding, bigger is often better.

  • Yeah, for crowdfunding to be successful you have to draw people from outside the C2 community.
