Graphic Tools & Programs

Hey guys & girls,

Very new to this site and really want to know where everyone is making there graphics for in game design.

I'm more looking for the tools that can make graphics similar to the Jungle platform tutorial, smooth, clean and 3d looking.

I've looked around and didn't see much info as to where I can make these types of graphics and sprite, but a heap of info on how to use them in game.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Some excellent free software to get you started

Blender - very powerful free 3d modelling, render and animation software. The UI is very confusing at first but once you learn the keyboard shortcuts it really starts to shine

Paint.net - excellent pixel software, free and very easy to use yet still relatively powerful

Inkscape - open source vector drawing sofware

I've been developing a package called "Indie Graphics Builder" - Its being funded by kickstarter: kck.st/NbHSQ9

It contains 5000+ sprites and you use it to make your own unique sprites. I think you might like it and it's useful to everyone. Check out the page for more details.

TBH, this ^^^ Sounds great. I'll be backing this project up ASAP.

So if I do back this up do I get access to all the graphics? Or just part?

I use blender quite a lot. Great 3D modelling tool, very powerful and totally free!!
