Has anyone ever sold html5 for desktop only and not mobile because everywhere I go people say unless its on both they dont want your game but ive found html5 games for desktop only on sites such as clay.io. Im asking because im interested in bigger games and not html5 mobile ones.

Sold? Are you talking about using nw.js and then selling the game as a downloadable? If so, you can always use http://itch.io/ Easy to set up and you get to pick your revenue share with itch itself.

If you're talking about making money off a browser game, use http://gamejolt.com/, http://www.kongregate.com/ or even http://www.newgrounds.com/ as they all have ad revenue sharing programs. You can even use facebook as well, not 100% on how that works but there's ads and IAP, so those would be avenues of making money.

You can definitely make bigger games for desktop using Construct 2.

Check out this collection of C2 games on Steam Greenlight - a lot have been greenlit and many have been released.

No im talking about html5 for computers no mobile could I sell it to people such as spilgames and such or do they only take html5 that works on both.

As far as I know, publishers are mostly interested in mobile HTML5 games and sometimes prefer that your game works well on both mobile and desktop (control schemes, etc.). For desktops, flash is the market you should be in. I've yet to see a html5 publisher that takes desktop-only games.

gdog105 I think there's some confusion here... Publishers who are seeking out HTML5 content will prefer games that run on browsers and mobile devices. Publishers who, er, just prefer games, don't care if it's HTML5 or not. Does it run on the target platform? Cool. Any others are just a bonus. There are numerous HTML5 games for desktops, mobile devices, and browsers, all with or without publishers.

Angvik was the first desktop-only C2 game on steam, I believe. That was over 2 years ago. So yes.
