Had a go at using the Wink program to make a tutorial...tell me what ya think
Its 3mb so it takes a little while to load which is the downside :/ I kinda prefer writing tutorials.
Slick! Though dragging and stuff may not be obvious at first, if you're not paying attention to it.
Also, I've learned something new
Very nice man! A few more new tricks to the toolbox
Sweet tut, I think I might make one or two of these
I really like it, but the mouse movement is a bit annoying, just a bit slow and always in straight lines. Can Wink configure that? Still, it's a great way of doing tutorials, added it to the Wiki tutorials page
One tiny thing, it might not have looked clear in the tutorial that you need to drag the light on to the layers bar to make it go to that layer. The animation just has a moving cursor and doesn't show changing cursors or where you press and release mouse buttons.
Why don't you guys just use Camstudio to make video tuts? It's free, you don't have to write long text and can directly explain what certain features do - and the user won't have to read through tons of text AND sees the effect in realtime.
Never understood why some people like this way of making tutorials. It's a pain in the nuts.
Well, some people aren't that good at listening... especially not ones with hearing impairment like me.
I prefer this method for some tutorials for sure, allows you to pause and try it for yourself.
Wink's great, and sooo much easier. Don't have to cut things up, don't have to worry about mistakes, just edit em out. Just so you know you can make your own buttons, gui, as well as a custom preloader.
I always prefer a more visual approach when it comes to tutorials. The lighting effect is really neat, and now I actually have some idea on how to make a flashlight!
Really cool tutorial. Only thing I hate is that mouse movement
Oh my... god bless you for this!
