  • Here is a bloom effect that uses a canvas object... Lots of fun...Go ahead and check it out.

ATTENTION!!! This needs my "Contrast Plus" Effect. You can download it here:

    Download

Note: If you do this, make sure you set the Canvas object to grab the layout BEFORE. After will produce the "Hall of Mirrors" and the full screen will "bloom"

  • Very nice but ... Isn't it better if you simply apply a bloom effect to a layer instead of a canvas?

Layer -> Layer effects: blur horizontal + blur vertical + glow

  • There's a difference between bloom and glow. Bloom takes the whiter/brighter parts of the image and blows them out with a bit of blurring and additive blending. A layer glow would just blur and glow everything, which isn't a real bloom.

  • When I load the .cap it gives me an error ('Blur Motion.fx is missing') and I made sure I have your contrast plus plugin. Is Blur Motion a separate plugin that I need to find?

(On a side note, you misspelled 'contrast' in your plugin, you put 'constrast'. Not like its a big deal or anything, just kinda unprofessional.)

  • Hi,

Can you post an explanation of exactly whats happening here please.

I love the effect, but I'm not sure I quite understand how you're achieving it.

    Thanks
