An idea i had for rendering portals. Any object that is in one portal will appear in the other portal...however a 'wavy' effect will determine which object is inside which portal. You cant actually send an object into a portal but that wouldn't be hard to do i've seen people do it

doesn't account for object ordering tho, stacked objects dont appear in reversed order as you would expect when "looking" into the other portal.

Great idea and example... I can think of a few cool ways this could be used in a space game.
Hmm... in a platforming game with a futuristic theme, these could be doorways or something.
Anyway, great effect. I'll see If I can expand upon it...
