• hi! didnt find anything about this, but i was wondering:

how would it be possible to set running animation speed to object's speed/velocity? either using platform behav or physics object.

and if pssible, to make it so that its tweakable by some sort of multiplier or something. i managed to get this to work with some primitive events and actions, but the animation was waaay too fast even on the lowest speed. any suggestions?

  • Here you go:

    dl.dropbox.com/u/52670878/Anim.speed%3Dvelocity.cap

Sense there's no way to change the animation frame speed in the events, I recreated the animator.

EDIT: If i put my link in Hyperlink it doesn't work. This could be a bug in the scirra.com webpage.Construct team, please fix this.

  • I've never had a problem with inserting links.

If it's the automated one, it asks for description first, then URL, or it may just insert URL tags, in which case, put your URL after the "URL=MY _URL_LINK" inside the square brackets, and your description after the first closed square bracket.

  • I've seen many ppl who posts links which seems broken.

If I copy and paste them, they work.

I think, it's because they don't read the 2nd promt when they use the link feature of the forum^^.

If you click on "insert hpyerlink" you see:

"Enter the on screen display text for the Hyperlink"

Here goes random text, just infos about the actual hyperlink.

Hit "ok" and then you see:

"Enter the URL address to create Hyperlink to".

Here goes the actual hyperlink. http://www....

First entered "scirra", then the hyperlink.(right way to do it)

    scirra

first entered hyperlink and then "scirra".(wrong way to do it)

    http://www.scirra.com

  • thanks shadowlord! thats exactly what i was trying to achieve.

much appreciated. i assume that works with platform behavior just as well?

anyway, education time: now i started wondering.. how would you make that same thing, only inverted? as in, low velocity/fast animation and vice versa?

would make a nice skating animation for a little physics based hockey minigame

  • yay first post ever around here!

ive been lurking around here for ages though.

i wanted to bump this thread because i too would like to know how to make that animation stuff inverted, would be really useful.

  • Here:

    dl.dropbox.com/u/52670878/Anim.speed%3Dvelocity%20v2.cap

A version with an invert option.

It could be difficult to understand how it works, sense I used a lot of programming tricks and shortcuts to make it with as little events as possible.Try to figure it out,and if you can't i'll simplify and comment it.
