  • I HAVE CONSTRUCT CLASSIC AND I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MOVE AND ROTATE ON SEPARATE CONTROLS, I HAVE DONE IT ON THE SAME BUT I WANT MOVEMENT ON 1 CONTROLLER/KEYBOARD AND ROTATION ON ANOTHER CONTROLLER/KEYBOARD!

  • WELL WHAT A HELPFUL FORUM.....NOT!!!

  • 1/ You were already told not to write in full caps, it's considered as rude.

2/ You're asking a question for Construct classic in the Construct 2 part of the forum.

3/ There's hardly 20 minutes between your posts, and this is still the 1st January in most of the world.

4/ This is a helpful forum and community but which has trouble with rude people.

5/ Your question makes little to no sense.

6/ Have you followed the basics tutorials for Construct-classic ?

I'm moving your topic to the correct section of the forum nevertheless.

Be sure to ask coherent/meaningful questions and to show a bit of patience too.

  • 5/ Your question makes little to no sense.

in other words you dont know the answer!

  • 6/ Have you followed the basics tutorials for Construct-classic ?

of course i have, ive made a blaster!

  • HELP I WANNA GET THE GAME CONTROLS SCRIPT FOR ROBOTRON, I WANNA MOVE 8 DIRECTIONS (WHICH I CAN DO) AND ROTATE 360 (WHICH I CAN DO ) BUT<font size="3">6</font> I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO USE SEPARATE CONTROLS FOR THE 2 EVENTS!

  • 5/ Your question makes little to no sense.

No, in other words try to reformulate your question so it makes sense and can get answered.

Putting words one after the other without structure doesn't make it for good understanding of what you're meaning.

Also all-caps messages are really tedious and will cause you a lot of troubles very soon. And duplicating topics is not a good idea either.

And what about jamesX's list of tutorials ?

What about the Construct Classic wiki and its article about the mouse and keyboard built-in plugin ?

Now for your answer, use the controller object/built-in plugin to "intercept" the input of your user, and then apply your expected behavior as actions.

nobrowser2 : And I also strongly advise you to lay low on the insults (seen in other posts of yours) it won't be tolerated very long.

Try to learn to use the software before mindlessly criticizing it.

So far you look like the first 2012's troll.

  • nobrowser2, if you carry on like this you will be temp banned, please see the warning here. Also, it is totally unreasonable to expect a reply within 23 minutes, you should allow at least 24 hours for everyone to check the forum!

  • what happened to my post yesterday?

It made perfect sense, it could not have been put any more basic!

  • I don't think there's a way to differentiate between two keyboards on one computer, so if you use the keyboard, you'll have to map to different keys for player 1 and 2, like wasd for directions for p1, arrow keys for p2.

As for controllers, I haven't used them, but you can try the xbox 360 controller object, the input system plugin or joytokey (google it).

  • I know how to do this but refrain from telling you cause of the stupid way your behaving. it's new years day and getting no responses in 20 minutes pisses you off? k

    hi arima

i would like to use the same keyboard for the 2 instructions, 1 set of keys for the 8 directional and another set of keys for the rotation, although i would much prefer to use a joypad with the 2 analogs for the function, if i could do this then that would be more ideal

Well for someone who doesn't know how to use a capital letter after a full stop i dont think i will be first in line for your input anyway!
