seriously though, feature-complete 3d modelling is not possible at the moment. meshes can be used for some great things like height maps, even low-poly models, but are not suited for complex 3d-models; it is also quite the hassle to force them into behaving as such.
when you say "drawing in 3d", i could also imagine some solutions that don't require real 3d models, but cut corners with simple tricks.
