  • Hi all, I'm new here but been toying around with CC for a while now and am busy on my first game. What I really want to know is how do I store pretty much everything externally, such as the graphic files, audio, and perhaps even the data?

This might seem like a stupid question, but the idea of one super large executable file doesn't do it for me. <img src="smileys/smiley24.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • You can load every content at runtime(audio, images, scripts, so everything). If you want to load images for example, create a sprite object in the editor, and use the "load frame from file" function.

  • Thank you, I'll try that! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Does CC also have support for archives? Like storing each level's things in a separate archive?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Yes, you can manipulate archives via the ZIP object(it's under the "data & file" section).

    No problem. :)
